Ease of install:

We’ve rated this filter as a 7 out of 10 for ease of installation simply to put a number next to it really. A filter is a filter and all are installed basically the same way. It won’t be your problem anyway because it is something that needs to be installed by your pool technician!

Warranty:

The warranty for the tank at 10 years is in line with the longest on offer in the pool industry which is great. We feel that 12 months on the valve, while standard for the pool industry, could be a bit longer if for no other reason than the fact that the valves have very little problems with them.

User friendly:

Basically all media filters work exactly the same so in this regard it is “user friendly” but no more so than any other filter which is why we have given it a “solid 7”

Appearance:

Given the filter is likely to be tucked away in the plant room it is normally not an issue. To put it bluntly, this filter essentially looks like any other filter so that is why we’ve rated it a 7.

Helpful hints:

This filter will work really well with any media in it so if you are looking to upgrade from sand to glass, this filter will handle this well with the fishtailed laterals at the bottom of it.

It is slightly larger than the old S600 (and any other 600mm filter for that matter) so if you are looking to upgrade to this filter then just make sure you have that little bit more space available.

In summary:

One of the best media filters on the market. Priced slightly higher than most residential filters but you are getting what you pay for here. It is a good mix of design and functionality brought together here. Definitely worth considering if you are looking at a new filter. Built to last.
